As part of Isra University's efforts to achieve its mission of community development through scientific research and effective partnerships with local community institutions, His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamed, President of Isra University, honored the winning students in the student competition on reducing digital violence against women and girls on Monday, July 14, 2025. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Ayman Halasa, Director of the Information and Research Center at the King Hussein Foundation; Professor Rawan Al-Rabihat; Mr. Kamal Khader from the same center; Her Excellency Professor Fidaa Al-Hamoud, former President of the Legislation and Opinion Bureau; and Dr. Lina Al-Momani from the Canadian Foundation. The students were honored with certificates of appreciation and cash prizes in the competition, which was launched by the Information and Research Center – King Hussein Foundation in partnership with the Canadian SecDev Foundation, with the participation of four universities. The students were also awarded a shield of appreciation and cash prizes. A shield was also presented to the Director of the Women's Empowerment Center at Isra University, Dr. Shatha Al-Assaf, in recognition of the center's pioneering role and active participation. In this competition, five female students from the Faculty of Law won the first three places in the competition. The first place was won by the research presented by the two students, Ruwa Al-Aqili and Dania Barghul, the second place went to the student, Lynn Al-Sharbini, and the third place went to the students, Abrar Al-Maay’ah and Majd Amer. His Excellency, the President of the University, thanked the Information and Research Center at the King Hussein Foundation for their interest in raising awareness of the issues of women’s empowerment in the digital space and protecting them from violence, and presented a commemorative shield to the Director of the Center, Professor Dr. Ayman Halsa.
