Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamed, President of the University, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Isra University organized its seventh scientific day, titled "Bridging Innovation: From Drug Discovery to Clinical Practice," on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. The event was attended by a select group of academics, researchers, and students from various universities and healthcare institutions.

 

The scientific day was inaugurated by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamed, and attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Nihad Ayoub, as well as several members of the academic and administrative bodies, university professors from various Jordanian universities, and guests from various sectors of the pharmacy profession.

 

At the beginning of the scientific day, Professor Dr. Nihad Ayoub delivered a speech welcoming the attendees. She spoke about the importance of the scientific day as a scientific platform for knowledge exchange, noting the symbolism of this year's chosen theme in strengthening the link between innovation in drug discovery and clinical practice.

 

This was followed by a speech by Dr. Wasfi Nawafleh, Vice President of the Jordan Pharmacists Association, General Manager of Lilium Drug Store, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Astra Pharmaceuticals and Food Industries, who emphasized the faculty's role in supporting scientific research and praised the efforts of the academic staff in advancing pharmaceutical development.

 

The President of the University, Professor Mohammad Hamed, also delivered a speech in which he highlighted the achievements of the Faculty of Pharmacy and its continuous development in terms of academic programs, research infrastructure, strengthening local and international partnerships, and the Faculty of Pharmacy's acquisition of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (ACPE).

 

In this context, Dr. Huda Al-Momani, Chair of the Scientific Day Organizing Committee and Assistant Dean for Training Affairs, emphasized that organizing this day reflects the faculty's vision of promoting a culture of applied scientific research. She explained that the topics and participants were carefully selected to ensure the provision of quality scientific content that keeps pace with the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry and clinical practice, inspiring students and researchers alike to pursue academic excellence and innovation.
