Isra University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the American Center for English Language and Translation at AMIDEAST Jordan to enhance students' skills in the English language and translation, and to provide specialized training programs that contribute to developing their academic and professional capabilities.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Professor Mohammad Hamed, President of the University, and Ms. Nour Al-Rasheed, Country Director of AMIDEAST Jordan, in the presence of:
Ms. Layan Al-Ramahi, Senior Director of Programs and Partnerships.
Ms. Dania Belingabes, Coordinator at the Examination Center.
Mr. Jad Qandour, Director of English Language Programs and Institutional Capacity Development.
Professor Inshad Jumaa, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs and International Projects.
Professor Mohammad Bani Younis, Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
Dr. Khaled Al-Najjar, Chair of the Department of English Language and Literature.
Dr. Aseel Shubaikat, Director of the Department of Public and Cultural Relations. and Dr. Bassam Al-Saeedin, Director of the Language Center.
The agreement includes providing English language training courses for university students and members of the local community at various levels, in addition to hosting preparatory courses for international tests, such as:
TOEIC: Test of English for International Communication, focuses on the listening and reading skills required in workplace settings, enhancing graduates' employment opportunities.
TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language, used to assess language proficiency in an academic context and a requirement for admission to international universities.
His Excellency Professor Mohamed Hamed, President of Isra University, emphasized that this agreement comes within the framework of the university's commitment to building strategic partnerships with international educational institutions to enhance the quality of education and advance students' academic and professional skills, in line with the requirements of the local and international labor market.
For her part, Ms. Noor Al-Rasheed expressed her gratitude to Isra University, praising its distinguished academic reputation and the role of its graduates in the labor market. She also emphasized that this partnership will enhance students' English language and international communication skills, opening up broad prospects for them in the fields of education and employment.
