On Thursday, February 6, 2025, Isra University and the National Council for Family Affairs signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of framing and strengthening the bonds of joint cooperation in the field of disseminating specialized knowledge on Jordanian family issues, and preparing joint studies and research related to family issues.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the university by its President, His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamed, and on behalf of the Council by the Secretary-General, His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Muqaddadi, in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General for Technical Affairs, Mr. Mohammad Al-Zoubi, Director of the Studies and Planning Directorate, Ghada Al-Qadi, Studies Specialist, Abeer Al-Daqs, Follow-up and Evaluation Specialist, Dana Al-Khasawneh, Head of the Administrative Services Department, Hamza Mansour, from the Council, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs and International Projects, Professor Dr. Inshad Juma, Director of the Women's Empowerment Center, Dr. Shatha Al-Assaf, and Director of the Department of Cultural and Public Relations, Dr. Aseel Al-Shabeekat, from the university.
This memorandum comes as a belief of the university and the council in their missions and their tireless efforts to fulfill their responsibilities towards the homeland through developing society and caring for the issues of the Jordanian family as the pillar of society, the foundation of its well-being and the basis of its renaissance. The memorandum aims to spread specialized knowledge on family issues through implementing training and awareness programs, working to secure the necessary funding for joint projects, and preparing specialized studies and research. The university president praised the role of the National Council for Family Affairs, which was established under the chairmanship of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, as an umbrella that supports coordination and facilitates the work of partners from national governmental and non-governmental institutions, international institutions and the private sector working in the field of family to achieve a better future for the Jordanian family.
The President of the University stressed the importance of cooperation between the two sides and the exchange of experiences that positively reflect on the development of the Jordanian family and interest in its issues, especially in light of the modern challenges it faces and social changes, and the essential and important role of universities in providing innovative solutions based on systematic studies and research on the issues facing the Jordanian family.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Maqdadi expressed his pride in cooperating with Al-Isra University for its pioneering role in developing the local community and strengthening local partnerships, and reviewed a number of family issues that receive the Council's attention, and the most prominent challenges facing the Jordanian family, and the extent of the necessity of keeping pace with modern social and technological changes and providing innovative solutions to preserve families.
