Isra University participates in the Eighth International Conference in Electronic Publishing entitled "Technological Innovations in Libraries: Have We Realized Them?
Within the vision and mission of the university in supporting the administrative body in all scientific fields and excellence in "knowledge and empowerment", Mrs. Khitam Othman participated in the eighth international conference in electronic publishing entitled "Technological innovations in libraries, have we realized them?", under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, may God protect and preserve her, which was held during the period from 15-17/10/2024 at the University of Jordan Academy, in the presence of the President of the University of Jordan, Prof. Dr. Nazir Obeidat, a number of vice presidents, and deans of faculties. In the conference, which was held in more than (400) participants, researchers and academics from Jordan and from Arab countries with specialization in library and information science and information technology from various disciplines.
The conference included several axes, including highlighting the latest developments and technological developments in the library and information sector and their practical applications, identifying the impact of the modern industrial revolution and advanced web technologies on libraries of all kinds, which have become known as "fourth generation" libraries, and identifying aspects of creativity and innovation in the library and information sector, which crystallize through interaction and interconnection with modern technology to reach sustainable outputs that reflect positively on society as a whole.
