Targeted beneficiaries

The targeted beneficiaries are the cadres and students in Isra Private University and the local and Arab communities.

The center organizes training programs in the areas and topics that reinforce the efforts of Isra Private University in achieving its primary objective of providing decent work for all.
The work of the center is based on three axes:

The first axis:
Utilizing the capacities and capabilities of the university and its pragmatic and human resources in furthering development in Jordan and the Arab World.

The second axis:
Providing consultations and scientific and technical studies to the institutions of the public and private sectors inside and outside Jordan, and overseeing the organization and management of these services and monitoring their implementation.

The third axis:
Organizing seminars, training courses and workshops with the aim of serving the Jordanian and Arab communities.

Center Objectives

The center aims to achieve the objectives of Isra University in serving the Jordanian community in particular and the Arab community in general, this is achieved by:

- Utilizing the university’s capacities and capabilities, and its pragmatic and human resources in furthering development in Jordan and the Arab world.

- Providing consultations and scientific and technical studies to the institutions of the public and private sectors inside and outside Jordan, and overseeing the organization and management of these services and monitoring their implementation.

- Developing the expertise of faculty members and the administrative and technical staff at the university, and providing them with financial and moral incentives to contribute in serving the Jordanian and Arab communities.

- Organizing seminars, training courses and workshops, with the aim of developing the capacity and expertise and the academic and vocational qualifications of the participants. - Keeping up with the scientific, technical and consultational developments in all fields and providing them in an optimal manner.

- Utilizing the capacities, capabilities and creative local cadres in the implementation of programs and activities of the center.

- Controlling the quality of the training courses.

- Providing studies and consultations for the institutions of the public and private sectors, in addition to companies and individuals.

- Contributing in limiting the problems facing the national industries through studies and research, and providing the necessary consultation to develop these industries both in quality and quantity.

- Contributing in the development of human resources through courses, workshops, seminars, and educational programs and exams to qualify and develop the technical capabilities of workers in the public and private sectors. As well as developing the technical capacity of the staff of the university and the capacity of the university in providing services to the community, utilizing its capabilities, capacities and qualified academic and technical cadres, with a focus on holding specialized courses in order to keep university students and employees and the local community acquainted and able to deal aptly with recent developments and innovations.

- Holding specialized courses in the elite programs in technical qualification and management development.

- The Center also prepares the university's graduates to compete in the labor market by providing them with the necessary skills and support, offering them training opportunities and the necessary qualification, and familiarizing them with the labor market and its needs.

- The Center has concluded several agreements with local and international personalities inside and outside Jordan. It is run by a director and an administrative, technical and vocational staff with a high level of knowledge and expertise. The center sometimes uses faculty members from Isra University and other universities, and experts from various institutions to achieve its objectives.

Message From the Director

 

   The Center of Consulting, Training, Continuous Education and Community Development Center was founded in 2006 to support the university's vision. It provides and creates various courses for the people of the local community in various fields such as: economic, social, and technical in a manner that is commensurate with the needs of the local and regional market, to raise the level of professional competencies in the labor market through its specialized courses and training programs. In addition, the center contributes to providing technical consultations and scientific studies, supported by specialized experts with a high level of competencies for creative solutions.

Vision and Mission

Vision:

We strive to excel in providing our services in training, consultations, studies and continuing education, and serving the Jordanian and Arab communities.

 

Message:

To provide quality services in the areas of technical consultancy for the industrial and service sectors, training human resources and the development and implementation of plans and programs that aim to strengthen the role of the university in serving the local community and the national issues.

The management of the center:

The center administratively follows the presidency of the university, and is managed by a director that is chosen from among the technically and administratively experienced members of the teaching staff. The center has a council headed by the university president Dr. Noman Al-Khatib, and the membership of the director of the center Dr.
Ghaida Abu Rumman, a number of faculty members equal to the number of faculties at the university, and representatives of the economic sectors in the Jordanian community. The units of the center:

The center consists of the consultations and studies unit, the continuing education unit, and the community service unit.

The center’s areas of work:
Centralized training programs:

These programs are designed based on the results of the ongoing evaluation process carried out by the management of the centre in order to identify the training needs of the Jordanian community, and to enhance the knowledge and develop the skills in the administrative, technical and engineering areas, including:

- Specialized technical services, consultations and studies:

The center enlists a number of academics, specialists and highly qualified experts in various disciplines, capable of providing consultation studies in many economic, social, technical and developmental fields upon request from the public and private institutions.

- Development of the university’s staff:

The Centre implements plans and training programs which are approved in coordination with the various faculties and departments. The Centre has prepared a plan that includes a specific mechanism in providing such courses, taking into consideration the need to provide workers at the university with the knowledge and skills needed to modernize their methods of work within three areas ranked in order of importance:

• Disseminating basic knowledge of computer skills and providing the staff of different positions with these skills.
• Holding specialized courses in the fields of administration, academic counseling, social and scientific research and languages, especially English.
• Holding workshops on specific topics in order to inform workers about the latest methods in the educational, academic and technical fields in harmony with the nature of teaching at the university.
• The unit of continuing education and community service:

The center offers its services in many administrative and economic developmental fields in addition to the field of vocational and technical training in order to raise the working standard among individuals and institutions. It also aims to transfer technology, scientific knowledge and modern applications in a manner that is commensurate with the nature of the administrative and technical work in our various institutions and productivity projects. Contractual training programs:
These programs are designed specifically to meet the training needs of a particular institution in light of its objectives and the future challenges it faces, such as the fields of industry, commerce, environment, administration and community services. These programs include:

1. Launching awareness campaigns:
- Giving awareness lectures in several areas, including:
- Youth and drugs.
- Unemployment in Jordan.

2. Issuing publications relating to the lectures that include a detailed explanation of them, and distributing them to the youth.

3. Qualifying the youth community to find appropriate employment opportunities by:
- Cooperation with other institutions and companies such as (Injaz Foundation, the Institution of Vocational Training ... etc.).
- Contracting with charities specialized in youth.
- Holding training courses in professional and academic fields.

4. Giving lectures, holding workshops and seminars, and distributing leaflets in the areas of women's awareness programs:
- Women's rights and the role of culture in guaranteeing them.
- Human rights.

5. Cooperating with local community organizations to launch a campaign to educate women on the subject of their own small projects.

6. Establishing formal correspondences with the related authorities of women's empowerment programs in Jordan and abroad, and to seek financial support for the implementation of these programs.

7. Giving lectures and holding workshops in several areas, including:

Student's Activities

Department of student's activities

Division of sports activity:

Tasks:

-Organizing the internal and external sports tournaments of different disciplines.
-Performing various sports activities, which are suited to the students' needs and tendencies
-Provide the opportunity for the largest number of students and staff at the university (faculty members and employees) to practice various sports activities.
-To instill and consolidate the correct concepts of physical education and awareness of the importance of sports activity.
-Spreading awareness and useful sports culture among students.
-Raising the level of the technical performance of the teams of the university sports through the stadiums and the interior.
-Set up various sports camps.

Artistical Activity Division:
Tasks:

-Providing students with the opportunity to practice their hobbies and artistic creations, develop them, and refine them.
-Nurturing talented people, and developing their skills in creative artistic fields of poetry, music and theater.
-Create technical teams within the university.
-Participation in artistic festivals.
-Participate in various art competitions.
-Holding various artistic courses in singing, playing, dabke, painting and theater

Division of cultural and social activity:

Tasks:

-Raising the level of awareness among students, and work to refine and develop the personality of the university student.
-Engage the concept of public service and community service for students through workshops, seminars and volunteer initiatives.
-Supervising various cultural and social activities.
-Encourage students to participate in the activities of the department and to indicate the importance of participation in the service of society and the homeland

Student's Services

Department of student's service

The Student Services Department undertakes the following tasks to serve the students, as follows:
-To monitor the quality of the services of interest to the students and to make periodic reports on the facilities that provide food and drink to the students to ensure that they meet the public health and safety standards.

 

-To receive complaints from students, to deal with differences among themselves, or to transfer these complaints, in addition to the work of exploratory tours within the university, to identify potential foci of the differences and work to deal with them before they occur.
-Issuing certificates of good conduct and acquittal, in accordance with the instructions of the Deanship and the University.
-Handing over the lost items, announcing them, and handing them over to their owners.
-Communicate with parents in the event of academic or behavioral violations in the student.
-Supervising the organization of student trips and follow-up as required.
-Participation in the graduation ceremony and all the activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs.
-Follow-up and completion of all matters relating to the affairs of foreign students.
-Issuing new student cards.
