Introduction

The faculty of Information Technology (IT) was founded in 1991 to keep abreast of the remarkable development and technical progress that has begun to affect our lives, which requires educated, trained, and qualified people, who are capable of fulfilling the comprehensive renaissance of all fields.

The faculty of IT encompasses recently Five specialties for B.Sc. program, which are: Computer Science, Computer Science / Computer Networks, Computer Science / Multimedia, Software Engineering, and Computer Information Systems. For M.Sc. program, we pioneered the establishment of the first Master of Software Engineering program in Jordan.

The IT faculty aims to level up the educational process according to the latest international quality standards to continue supporting scientific research by encouraging researchers to build effective cooperation with universities and research centers at the local and worldwide so the faculty can achieve its goals.

Mission

Preparing qualified scientific cadres in Information Technology and enhancing the necessary concepts and skills that fulfill the needs of the labor market locally and regionally.

 

Objectives

1. Preparing competent and specialized generations in the field of Information Technology.

2. Updating and improving study plans to keep pace with the changing requirements of the labor market.

3. Promoting the use of e-learning as a basic pillar in the educational process.

4. Encouraging scientific research to produce and use knowledge.

5. Encouraging Information Technology students to lead and innovate.

6. Promoting moral values in the use of Information Technology.

7. Developing the practical skills of Information Technology students.

• Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences forms the scientific cornerstone of the Faculty of Pharmacy’s academic programs. It is responsible for delivering core foundational courses that support pharmaceutical education, such as pharmaceutical chemistry, biological sciences, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. Through integrated theoretical teaching and laboratory-based training, the department develops students’ scientific understanding, analytical abilities, and essential laboratory skills. These competencies prepare students for advanced applied and clinical coursework and contribute directly to the successful delivery of both the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences programs.

The objectives of the department are fully aligned with the mission and vision of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the University, ensuring consistency with institutional goals, academic excellence, and societal needs.

• Department of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Pharmacy  
The Department of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Pharmacy focuses on translating pharmaceutical knowledge into professional practice and patient-centred care. The department delivers both theoretical and practical courses in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacology, clinical pharmacy, therapeutics, and pharmacy practice. Emphasis is placed on developing clinical reasoning, medication management skills, ethical practice, and effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals. The department plays a key role in preparing graduates for contemporary pharmacy practice and contributes substantially to the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences programs, including advanced and elective courses that support professional specialization. 
The objectives of the department are fully aligned with the mission and vision of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the University, ensuring consistency with institutional goals, academic excellence, and societal needs.

Center's future programs:
· Analyzing and explaining difficulties that face implementation of child-rights agreement in Jordan.

· The spreading and promoting the child-rights culture through seminars and studies related to childhood.

· Inviting specialists in the field of childhood to give lectures on the latest developments in the child-rights.

· Organizing an entertaining educational programs for children with special needs.

· Organizing a program to consolidate the role of civil community in protecting child from abuse.

· Holding a training course for kindergarten teachers on methods of dealing with normal children and those with special needs.

· Organizing developmental programs and guidance seminars for parents of children with special needs.

· Organizing a training course for kindergarten teachers on how to achieve the needs of child- rights curriculum.

· Creating a website concerned with child-rights center.

· Encouraging postgraduate students to choose theses titles on child-rights.

· Preparing a journal specialized in child-rights through which legal issues can be discussed from research and academic perspectives, and whatever concerns child-rights.

  • Holding an activity on “Book is child’s window to life.”
  • Holding legal seminars on Woman’s and child’s rights
  • Preparing studies and researches in the field of child's rights.
  • Issuing wall posters with various themes on child's rights.
  • Establishing a library specialized in the field of child's rights.
