In Jordan, a little information about health literacy on diabetes self-care as an important factor in their function in the health system and the decision-making can be found. Therefore, this study is aiming to determine the factors associated with health literacy status and self-care behaviors of diabetic patients attending Jordanian hospitals. Diabetic patients, require proper knowledge and attitude of self-care performance to control and manage their disease successfully. In this regard, increasing health promotion programs can pay more attention to self-care and health literacy to people with diabetes. This study is aiming to determine the factors associated with health literacy status and self-care behaviors of diabetic patients attending Jordanian hospitals.
