ملخص الرسالة
Infrastructure projects across the globe are plagued by cost overruns. It is one of the most common problems in the building business, and it has a direct impact on the country's gross domestic product. Overruns on Jordanian road projects during construction and operation are a common occurrence. The goal of this research is to figure out what causes them. Project cost overruns were studied in order to identify the most important causes of these delays. It is the goal of this thesis to identify, define, study, and evaluate risks affecting infrastructure line services in Jordan and their effect on the financial costs of road projects in that country. Having this information will make it easier for anyone involved in the project to effectively manage the risks. Based on the literature research, a list of 32 dangers was created. Management, technological, financial, social, location-specific and operational hazards were all included in the analysis. Engineers and professionals from Jordan were then asked to participate in a survey. According to the survey, 328 people were asked to rate each risk in terms of likelihood of occurrence and possible effect. It was determined how serious each of the thirty-two potential hazards was (probability multiplied by an impact). Among the most significant dangers are: accidents caused by a lack of safety measures, bribery and corruption, National policies that support infrastructure development are inadequate because of problems with the contract between the project's operating firm and the government organizations in responsibility. There is a significant role for risk identification and assessment in the management of project risks. This makes it possible to properly plan and regulate the reaction to risk.
