Abstract | Introduction: An unusually high blood sugar level, or hyperglycemia, is a characteristic of the medical condition known as diabetes mellitus (DM). Most people with diabetes have type 2 diabetes mellitus, which is defined by the pancreas producing either too little or no insulin. addressing a gap in understanding how these factors interact within the region's unique sociocultural and healthcare context. While global research highlights the importance of these variables in diabetes management, limited integrative studies in Jordan examine their combined impact on patients' quality of life. Aim: This study explores the effects of glycemic control, diabetes self-care, and diabetes self-efficacy on the quality of life of Jordanian patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: The study used a cross-sectional design and was conducted in the central sections of Jordan hospitals. The study recruited a sample size of 170, but 10% was added to cover non-respondents, resulting in 206 individuals. The research assessed socio-demographic data, Quality of Life (QOL) metrics, the Type 2 Diabetes Management Self-Efficacy Scale (DMSES), the Diabetic Self-Management Questionnaire (DSMQ), and cumulative diabetes assessments (HbA1c) to measure glucose levels and therapy responses in diabetic patients. Results: The study shows a fair and statistically significant positive association (P ? 0.01) between patients' self-care activities and level of self-efficacy. This suggests that an increase in the level of self-care activities lead to an increase in the level of self-efficacy and the study shows a fair and statistically significant positive association (P ? 0.01) between patients' level of quality of life, self-care activities, and their level of self-efficacy. This suggests that an increase in the level of patients' quality of life leads to an increase in the level of self-care activities and level of self-efficacy and the study shows a fair and highly statistically significant negative association (P ? 0.01) between patients' level of Glycemic control (HbA1c level), self-care activities and their level of self-efficacy. Conclusion and Recommendations: The research demonstrates a strong positive correlation between self-efficacy, self-care behaviors, and quality of life in Type 2 diabetes patients. Higher self-efficacy in managing diabetes is associated with better adherence to self-care practices, which significantly enhances quality of life. These findings highlight the practical implications of empowering patients through targeted interventions that boost their confidence in diabetes management, ultimately leading to improved health outcomes and quality of life.
