The Objectives of Digital Marketing Department

In line with the growth strategy outlined by the faculty of Business since its establishment in 1991-1992, which prioritized establishing fundamental specializations in administrative and financial sciences, the Marketing Department was established in 2002-2003. Its primary goal was to produce professionals in marketing to meet the demands of the Jordanian and national markets, while also contributing to the development of the Jordanian national economy and Arab economies. In response to the technological advancements and digital transformations in the field of marketing, the Digital Marketing Department was inaugurated at the start of the academic year 2023-2024. This initiative aims to keep abreast of technological shifts and equip students with the necessary skills to thrive in the evolving job market.

Furthermore, the department seeks to nurture the holistic development of its students' personalities within the Marketing Department by enhancing their ability to make informed decisions when addressing performance and marketing challenges. These skills are honed through the department's academic and educational programs, as well as through training courses implemented during the students' tenure.

Program Objectives:

  1. Preparing cadres capable and qualified to work in the field of digital marketing.
  2. Qualifying students to deal with marketing issues related to the labor market locally and regionally
  3. Enabling students to develop a wide range of practical skills in the fields of digital marketing.
  4. Providing students with the required skills and knowledge necessary to understand marketing aspects in the business environment.
  5. Empowering students with the necessary capabilities to deal with changes and developments in business markets.

Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO’s):

  1. Clarifying methodologies and theories in the field of digital marketing.
  2. Preparing, evaluating and analyzing data and using technological and digital software to help make appropriate marketing decisions.
  3. Using critical thinking and problem solving in digital marketing.
  4. Apply effective communication skills in various fields, orally and in writing.
  5. Working within one team.
  6. Applying the dimensions of social and ethical responsibilities and legislation related to the business environment.
