Admissions & Registration

Admission Requirement

  •  Admission Requirements:

    • Bachelor Degree:
      • Students are admitted to the freshman level of the various programs offered by the University on merit basis in accordance with their scores in the General Secondary School Examination and the admission scores assigned to each program by the Higher Education Council.
        The required documents are:

      • Students who hold the Jordanian General Secondary Certificate.

        a. Original or a copy of the General Secondary Certificate Transcript certified by the Ministry of Education in Jordan.
        b. The Military Service exemption book for male Jordanians.
        c. Photocopy of the applicant’s identity card or birth certificate or family register.
        d. Two recent passport size color photos.


      • Students who hold the General Secondary Certificate from Arab Countries

        a. Original copy of the General Secondary Certificate Transcript (from Sudan, Libya, Yemen, or Iraq) certified by the Ministry of Education in Jordan.
        b. Original or a copy of the General Secondary Certificate (from other Arab countries) certified by the Ministry of Education in Jordan.
        c. A photocopy of the applicant’s passport.
        d. Two recent passport size color photos.


      • Students who hold other Certificates from private schools or abroad

        a. For Jordanian students: A concordance to the General Secondary Certificate from Ministry of Education in Jordan.
        b. For non-Jordanian students: A concordance to the General Secondary Certificate from Ministry of Education in Jordan or an equivalent certificate from an Arab country.
        c. The Military Service exemption book for male Jordanians.
        d. Photocopy of the applicant’s identity card or birth certificate or family registers for Jordanian students.
        e. A photocopy of the applicant’s passport for non-Jordanian students.
        f. Two recent passport size color photos.

      • Students from other recognized institutions can be accepted at Isra University (IU). The maximum number of awarded transfer credit hours is 50% of the total number of credits hours of the program offered. The required documents are the same as Students admitted to the freshman level of the various programs, in addition to the following documents:

        a. Certificate of a Good Conduct.
        b. Transcript.
        c. A course description for each course that is included in the former university transcript to be considered for concordance.


      • Community colleges graduate:
        Community colleges graduates can apply to IU to continue their university education. The university admits the community colleges graduates in accordance with relevant instructions issued by the Higher Education Council. The entry required documents are the same as Students admitted to the freshman level of the various programs, in addition to the following documents:

        a. Original college diploma and transcript or a copy certified by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan for Jordanian certificates.
        b. A concordance to the college degree certificate certified by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan for non-Jordanian certificates.
        c. Transcript of the college diploma.
        d. A course description for each course that is included in the college degree transcript to be considered for concordance.


    • Master Degree:
      • Students are admitted to the MSc Program at Isra University according to the following:
        a. Hold a Bachelor Degree in the related field of study from an accredited university.
        b. Have earned an average grade at least Good in the BSc.
        c. The Bachelor degree held must be relevant to the Master Programs offered at Isra University.
        d. Have been classified as a full-time regular student during his/her past study for a bachelor degree.
        e. A score of 500 on the TOEFL or equivalent.
        f. A student is not permitted to register for two different Master Programs simultaneously during any stage of his/her study.
        g. If a student is suspended from any Master Program, he/she cannot be reinstated in the same program again.


        The required documents are:

        a. Transcript of Bachelor Degree (authenticated copy)
        b. Transcript of High Diploma or equivalent (if exist) (authenticated copy)
        c. Transcript of Tawjihi or equivalent (authenticated copy)
        d. Copy of birth certificate, passport, family register, or ID Card
        e. Two 4*6 cm personal photographs
        f. Certificate of Good Conduct
        g. Non-Liability document from former University
