About Isra University
Definition and Foundation:Isra University (IU) is a private institution of University Education in Jordan. It is owned and funded by Isra education and investment Co.Plc. It has been licensed according to the degree of higher education council numbered 357 and dated 18/8/1989. The first academic year of bachelor's program was October, 1991. Isra University lies on Queen Alia International Airport Road Highway. Its faculty buildings are constructed in a large area measured 300,000 m2
Isra University awards bachelor's and master's degrees. The university faculties are eight in number; all are authorized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and are accredited publicly and privately by the Board of Higher Education Institutions Accreditation. The university was rewarded many accredit certificates from international and national institutions. IU is a member of Arab University Union, and in the Private Higher Education Institutions League.
Two study programs are available at IU. The first one is the Bachelor's program and the other is the Master's program.
Undergraduate Programs: “Bachelor Programs” include the following faculties: Art, Administration & Finance, Education Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology, Law, Nursing and Pharmacy.
Postgraduate Programs: “Master’s Programs” include the following programs: Accounting, Engineering Projects Management, Law and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Isra University adopts the credit hour system in teaching different courses. Attending lectures and covering practical hours are obligatory and students should never miss more than 15% out of total hour per course.
